Passion. A strong and unbearable emotion for someone or something. This is the textbook definition of Passion. As humans, we can define terms in multiple different ways. That’s the beauty in Passion. It can have so many different meanings to many people, especially creatives. My definitions is as simple as the desire and feeling of loving what you do. Over the years I’ve found myself finding more Passions and connecting with others, specifically learning more about them and what makes their Passions.

Personal Passions: Shaping My Future

For me, it all started with music. Growing up around so many artistic people helped plant the seed into my creativity from a very early age. I picked up the guitar at age 8 and began developing a passion to learn and play everyday. That’s where the first passion began and then developed into the desire to make music and make original pieces. Over the last 5 years I’ve acquired more passions such as photography and the passion of working on cars. Photography has been my more consistent option lately as I’ve felt motivated and eager to create more and more each day. As for cars, there’s always been that feeling for myself of feeling accomplished and content knowing I’m building something of my own. Both photography and cars are endless, there’s always something new one can learn and can show others.

Connections: New and Old

With these passions I’ve acquired over my lifetime has led me to meet many people and many different passions. Photography alone let me become best-friends with Henry (Co-Founder) before we knew it we shared that passion and it let us grow closer. Years later here we are creating MMI Studios. These passions allow us to create long term relationships, for me I’ve created friendships with so many car enthusiasts and so many different photographers it can be hard to believe. These are longterm relationships I plan to have forever.

Special Moments: A Childhood Dream

Through photography, I’ve had multiple opportunities to do things I never imagined I would be able to do. Of all the special moments, being able to shoot an R34 GTT with my own camera has to be the most special. I never imagined me, a regular 19-year-old kid would have the chance to shoot a car I always dreamt about seeing. In the moment of shooting this car, I began to realize how far my passion had gotten me. Never did I think I’d shoot this car in my life. Our passions can often be linked to special moments and this moment by far has been my favorite. Hard work and consistency truly does create opportunities for yourself when you become determined. It creates a feeling of awe and a sense of everything being fake, I just recalled the memories of playing the Playstation 2 using the R34 to pass everyone on the last 2 turns. This is what it’s all about, the memories you reflect on years later that showed how passionate you were.

Future: The Bigger Idea

Every creative pushes for excellence and to work on their craft day in and day out. But after, there’s always that one question “What’s Next?”. For me personally the question has been “What can I change or improve?”. It’s easy to feel underwhelmed because of social media and the feeling of “Not good enough”. As a person and creative I always remember people are passionate about different things and see their creativity different from someone else, that’s the motivation I use and need always. I’m just as passionate in my own way. I’ve decided to motivate myself and draw in deeper in all of my passions, recently I felt the desire to expand my passion of photos into videography. Passions never settle and always push through difficult and hard times, passions make us who we are. We are our Passions.
